It did take CBS a while to almost completely ruin the Fender guitar brand, and by the end of the 70s, they'd had a really good go despite the best efforts of Messers Hendrix and Clapton. But at the beginning of the 70s, things still weren't too bad, and we are very pleased to have on offer an early 70s (1971) Strat in all original condition, a refreshing change from the vast amount of late 70s Strats we see on the market of late. This Sunburst piece with four bolt neck, classic style saddle pieces (not the later block ones) and oversize headstock, is in fantastic condition and will draw you in with its magical powers of charm, secret to all but heaven's highest angels of rock. Do you enjoy a good 6th chord when you play your e major positions, but lack a fourth finger capable of the job. Solve this and all your other b-string related problems with the classic Fender B-Bender Nashville guitar. Invented (officially, as far as Fender are concerned) by Gene Parsons and Clarence White (Nashville West, The Byrds), you can bend your b-string up a whole tone just by tugging on the strap a bit, giving a lovely country-style feel to your rhythm playing. Fender have updated their standard USA Stratocaster in the style of the BBC when they 'updated' their logo, making it look more like an old one. It does look cool though with the old style bridge saddles and spagetti headstock logo. And of course, they still sound great. The American Series (bog) Standard Telecaster, one notch below the upgraded version you have read about above. This is the next generation featuring vintage style bridge saddles and headstock logo. The model pictured is a two tone sunburst finish showing off a lovely ash body, but other finishes are available. Hard case included as standard. Please also note, we give you good price!! The Fender Strat and Tele Deluxe is now a very well known and sought after guitar for one big reason, that being the S1 switching that makes your single coils get together and have a bit of a party in the formation of a humbucker. And of course, they're very good guitars, a little bit of a cut above the standard American Strats and Teles with Noiseless pickups (the ones that Mr Clapton likes) and fancy silver writing on the headstock. We do stock these from new if required (phone to order yours!) at around £1300, but these two second hand ones are going at a steal price of £895 each including hard cases.
Way back in the day, Hank Marvin was lucky enough to ome by one of the Fiesta Red Stratocasters that Fender were kind enough to send across the pond for us Brits to have a go on. They didn't send any sunburst ones... rotters... but unperturbed, our Hank soldiered on with his red one. Then he left it out in the sun one day during the summer season at Butlins in Margate, and it faded off a bit till it was a sort of pinky orange. And there you have it, the Hank Marvin signature Strat made in Japan in girl pink... er, I mean, Fiesta Red. This one is mint, as new, never been played.
£749 is now the standard Wunjo price for a second hand, standard American Stratocaster in top condition. We have a high turnover as a result of such an altruistic figure, so while you see a lovely Red Stratocaster pictured here, it is likely we have one of many other colours that Fender decorate their guitars with, at any time. If I may, I would like to say something about 'relic' guitars. Basically, I don't really get it. You might as well buy a pair of jeans with rips in. Then again, there are many people who do for fashion's sake. However, the advantage, (yes, sceptics, there is an advantage!) is not image orientated at all: Lets say you gig alot, and your guitar tends to take a pounding, with a roadworn, you don't have to worry about dings and scratches, you won't be able to tell the fresh ones from the factory ones. Now, furthermore, contrary to my usual custom, I happen to be of the opinion that Fender's Roadworn series look the Mutt's nuts, better than many of the higher priced offerings I've seen from other companies, and do look genuinely 'roadworn'. And they're affordable. So, in conclusion, ditch the ripped jeans, and buy one. Example shown here is a dual Humbuckered Tele Deluxe, but there are many other models in the series available to order from Wunjo.
