A striking and classic design by the Burns company still going strong after decades. The tri-sonic pickups installed in this 12 string, big greem monster make it chime like the bells of, not a small country church, but a reeeeally big old Cathedral with huge chimey bells. The only one in stock!
SOLD!!! Here we have a genuine pre-Baldwin made in London, up the apples and pears, Burns guitar, the Split sonic from roughly the early 60s period. Sadly, the original scratch plate with the burns logo has gone, and with it the pickup selection chart that tells you what tones you've dialled in. The pickups, along with their original wiring configuration are still present and correct however, so you can still get those Treble, Jazz, Split Sound and Wild Dog tones if you so desire (and you probably will). Lovely old British made guitar, complete with case.
An absolute beast of a guitar which will fool no-one in its angelic white finish. With two jumbo sized horns protruding forwards as well as outwards, it's easy to see how this guitar got its inspiration, let alone its name. And the large beast like analogies continue upon inspection of the pickups. Three big fat Burns Tri-sonics all present and correct and ready for action. It's a Bison in sheeps clothing!
Going deeper into the Burns range, the Marquee, the classic Hank Marvin guitar is alot like a strat, except for the incredible reso-sonic pickups which I think just give it a bit more balls than the average strat. Great retro styling too, and they sell quickly, so get on the blower if you like what you see.
After all of the above, a little affordable epilogue to this magnificent range of guitars that should be within the range of all but the beginningest of beginner players, and a guitar not short of style furthermore. The Cobra is very similar to the Marquee, except the pickups are the classic Tri-Sonic single coils, rather than the 'Rez-O-Matics' you see on the aforementioned Marquee. Also available in a number of finishes other than the rather dapper blue you see pictured. Phone or email for further information on these classic British guitars stocked at Wunjo.
