Anyone would have thought the the ES-330 had become the world's most unloved guitar the amount we've had in over the last few months. This is the fourth vintage piece to be exact, the third from the 60s. This one really does look fantastic in sunburst with all the original features including the trapeize tail piece, dog ear P-90 pickups and Kluson tuners. It's a beautifully well kept piece, the sort of guitar you could take home to your Mum without any risk of it being thrown out along with your old guitar magazines. Needless to say, it tones out like a dream, and we are selling this wonderful 60s Gibson complete with the original hard case.
Hearing a guitar like this, a beautiful 1971 Gibson 345, just the once, just wouldn't be enough. You'd need to hear it twice, preferably once and then once again, but if not, then maybe two times at once. So unless they thought a mono guitar wasn't good value for money any more, this is what Gibson must have been thinking when they created this amazing guitar. Featuring the same tone switch found on B.B. King's Lucille model, this 345 Stereo is in pristine and original condition and features the original hard case. It's a rare beauty, and close your eyes and there'll be two of them! Every man's dream.
20 years on from the first Les Paul Custom in 1954, Gibson thought they'd celebrate with a nice 20th Anniversary model. They really pushed the boat out here as you can see, they went to the trouble of adding a little label on the 15th fret, and, er, well, that's about the only difference between this and a normal custom. But come on, it's a custom! It's got binding and, and, you know, everything! Well of course, the pickups are specially wound, so at least that makes it worth the extra bit, doesn't it? This piece in fully original condition is a lovely guitar, despite my mocking, and is complete with the original hard case. Soon to be 40 and still going strong!
The SG hadn't long been around and on the market when this example was produced, and the guitar that drove Les Paul away from Gibson was just beginning ot catch on with those with money. For those without money, Gibson produced the Junior models, the same body but with just the single P90 pickup in, thus making a Gibson affordable to a wider market. Shame that nowadays, the same isn't true, you'll be parting with 2 and a half for this baby before you've so much as checked with the other half. You know it's worth every penny though! This piece, recently shippied in from the USA, has survived well and is on sale with a hard case.
No prizes, and no answers on a postcard for the deliberate mistake here. Yes, it's a 1976 Gibson Deluxe, yes it's still got it's original this that and the other... and yes, the pickups are not original. What are they then I hear you cry! The pickups are DiMarzio, and thankfully, whoever decided they would be a better option than the original mini-humbuckers, has been good sensible enough not to throw away the originals, and they can now be found in the hard case. It's gone past collectors stage, but this is a guitar to rock out with, which is something that hasn't changed since the day it was made.
We all love the minimalist beauty of the SG Junior, when one pickup does enough to sooth the soul and rock the joint. But if I said, how about an SG Junior... with a tremolo? You'd probably start nodding your head quite enthusiastically, with only the slightest reserve being kept back until you'd heard the price. £1895? Now you look a little bit like the dog on the car insurance advert. Oooooh yes! This guitar has been played in, but it survives in great condition and is complete with a hard shell case.
PHONE FOR AVAILABILITY!!! Whenever we can, we find a Les Paul standard and put it in our window, where it usually stays for a few days before swiftly finding its next home. Get in quick when you see one on these pages, you can be sure that you'll be seeing the SOLD sign before too long, especially because we always like to stick it to the man with our prices. Hard case sold with the guitar as standard, the original Gibson one in most cases. The current examples we have, this unusually finished 60s Re-issue from 2004, still over a £500 saving at £1395 with OHSC.
SOLD!!! Not quite as sexy as the example you have seen above, and a little bit more abused, this 1992 example was unfortunately born into a world where 'hair metal' has become quite popular and James Hetfield was regularly using his explorer to snarl at hairy teenagers through million watt amplifiers. So it was always going to get the brunt of the metal revolution. True to Gibson form though, it has actually survived pretty well and in original condition, despite one or two chips and scratches.
SOLD!!! Good old honest Gibson SGs. They rock, they roll, and they don't do sex or drugs. And, in this case, they're not too expensive either! This 2000 one in a particularly bright red (a bit different from the usual, slightly darker cherry red, but very lovely all the same) is in fine condition and one of very few Gibsons out there on the second hand market at the moment. So if you're looking for one at the moment, grab it while you can. Hard case included.
SOLD SOLD SOLD!!!! Strip down a car to the bare minimum for what it needs to actually run, put a really nice engine in it, and you've got yourself a racing car to have some affordable fun in round the country lanes. Strip down a Gibson Les Paul but leave in the nice pickups, and you've got a Gibson Les Paul Studio to have some affordable fun in in your bedroom, or with the band. Great idea! Can I have that AND the car please?? This latest example comes complete with an original hard case.
