She's like a raaaaaaynboooooooooowwwww! This is the kind of guitar that can only lead to one of two reactions: Nostalgic grins, or violent sickness. Since we've not seen too much of the latter since this guitar has graced our shop window, we're guessing that it's majority smiles for the main part. This is the classic DC-59 shape finished in what looks like an extreme close up of a Monet, including all the way along the fretboard. Released at the same time as the 50th Anniversary DC-59s you're about to read about below. You gotta love the Danos!
For a limited time only, we've got these little beauties in stock, a range of perfect 60's re-issue doublecut '59 Dano. Shown here is the version in white, but we also have one in copper and one in black. We aren't clear yet on how long the run will last on these so if you'd like to know more please give us a ring and we'll tell you what we can. In the meantime, feast your eyes on the vintage cool - those knobs alone are worth the price - and consider living on beans on toast for a month.
In addition to the 50th Anniversary series DC-59s we have just recieved, we have this, a little tribute to the guitar famously adopted by the legend that is Jimmy Page for most of his slide work, and Kashmir. It's essentially a normal DC-59 but features some of the mods made by Page on his original model, including the badass bridge. A really nicely made guitar and a fitting tribute by a company who haven't lost sight of their heritage.
JUST IN!!! Whoever took the name of Danelectro under their wing after the slow demise of the company after the 60s boom deserves alot of recognition for the passion and consistency they are showing in the production of more and yet more lovely reissue Dano models at affordable prices. Here is the latest example of this to be stocked at Wunjo, with swirly pearly pickguards and soft contoured bodies, the 67 reissue is one for the hippymodrockers!
