Hooray! We've found a new maker of the Gypsy Jazz guitar, the Maccaferri D-Hole (and Oval-Hole you see below) were made famous by Django Reinhardt of course, but they're as much in demand nowadays as they ever have been. Gitane under the umberella of Blueridge have put together a very nice guitar here, it's solid spruce top producing that satisfying 'boxy' tone. Phone us anytime for more information.
As above really, except this is the Oval-Hole Variation giving a slightly different tone. You'd have to come to the shop and have a play to hear the difference, if I try and explain it here, I'll end up talking about shoe boxes and grammophones and none of it will make the slightest bit of sense to anyone. Great guitars from Gitane with more than a nod to the style and fashion of the period from which these quirky instruments emerged.
