This lovely Seagull guitar, a grand auditorium with a cutaway and a Godin QII pickup installed, is from the series known as the Maritime series. Instantly you're thinking, sea chanties, hoist the main sail Boson, cockles and mussels alive alive o. But these guitars, rather than smelling of seaweed and making you feel a bit ill, are quite simply some of the the best guitars out there on the Market. Handmade in Canada, all solid, Godin electronics, the class just oozes, so you're really looking at Nelson on the Victory rather than Rosy and Jim on the Old Rag Doll. Sold with a hard case.
All be upstanding for Seagull guitars, which despite the odd looking headstock design, are actually a range of very, very good guitars. Commonly perceived as the brand at the top of the Godin acoustic tree, one off the top overall (that being Godin itself) and a cut above the Simon and Patrick, Art et Lutherie and Norman brands also under the Canadian giant's very broad umberella, Seagull guitars are for the player looking to upgrade out of the quagmire of run-of-the-mill dreadnoughts and the like. This first example is a really punchy grand auditorium cutaway with a Godin branded pre-amp piezo pickup fitted, and a hard case included. Come and check out the quality of this brand, you'll be as impressed as we were!
So now you've seen a little bit of what Seagull are all about, lets get down to the nitty gritty and look at one of their lovely dreadnought models, this time a solid Cedar topped S6 with Wild Cherry back and sides. Seagull say: 'The S6 is perhaps the instrument that best represents the Seagull philosophy. The S6 offers entry level players the opportunity to experience the great feel and superb sound provided by a hand finished neck, select solid Cedar top and a Custom Polished Finish'. What more can you add to that? Great guitar at a very good price giving lots of bang for your buck.
