Wunjo guitars are now eclusive dealers of Ovation guitars, the famous bowl back electro-acoustic that became all the rage in the seventies. They faded away a bit over the 90s but just like all good fads of around 30 years ago, they're back with a vengeance, and people are starting to notice them again. We have the Ovation range and the budget sister brand Applause available to us, see below for a few examples. And, just in case you thought we'd forgotten about the guitars that made Ovation so great, just in is this second hand Ultra Model made in the USA. This has now been sold but I'm keeping it here so you know we are always getting older models in.
Just in case you think that all Ovations look the same and really boring, they have cast aside your doubts with this stunning Spalted Maple CC44 model. They say looks are the first thing that attracts you to something, well this guitar should have the punters swarming around it like bees round a honey pot. Looks aside, the usual mark of quality is all present and correct, and the guitar plays and sounds just as good as it looks. Fantastic price aswell!
Welcome to yet another new and exclusive dealership to Wunjo Guitars, this time we've secured a steady stream of the fine wares of the Ovation guitar name, and we kick off with a lovely multi-soundholed version of the Celebrity model, vintage versions of which we have seen many times. Solid spruce top, modified 'quintad' bracing and an Ovation Slimline pickup are just a few of the features thrown into this great value mid range bowlback classic.
No decent guitar maker worth their good names would have a range bereft of a budget option. Fender have Squier, Gibson have Epiphone, and here, as you can see, Ovation come forward with their own low end offering, the Applause brand. The AE-147 is almost a direct copy of the CC44 you have read about above, except it incorporates slightly less posh materials. Still, just like a Squier of Epiphone rival, it more than holds its own and offers great quality and value for the entry level player.
Here is a second incarnation of the Celebrity range that we have also recently received as part of our new Ovation dealership. This time, instead of the multiple soundholed top, you have the slightly more conventional proposition of a circle soundhole top on a mid depth bowl back body. A few other sexy features include a walnut brigde, abalone inlays and gold hardware, not that this is a guitar that needs to show off, that'll be you when your showing it off at your nan's.
