Sometimes we go months without seeing any, but no sooner has the last 70s 4001 was sold, than this beauty arrived, our latest arrival in the shape of this 1973 4001 bass, serial number ME1891. If you've been looking for a 70s Ricky 4001 bass in V++ condition with a nice hard case, then you'd better get your skates on because there'll be plenty of others that also have... SOLD!!! From 1976, this is an extremely rare bass version of the six string box of tricks which contains tone and phase switching for a huge range of tones from the two high/low impedance pickups! SO rare, and you won't find it in the book, unless you search for Les Paul Triumph Bass that is, and even then you won't find much information. Price includes a case.

Part of the old/new stock range that the Eko company are making. Basically, Vox stopped making instruments at the end of the 60's, but left a load of bits in a warehouse, only to be uncovered by intrepid archeaologists in the last ten years! Whoop for joy then, if you're in a 'Stones tribute band! With case.
The next edition in the Vox canon, this is a very charismatic orange Phantom bass featuring the regular single coil pickups. The tone is sweet and chimey, and the street cred factor is through the roof, OVER the street and straight to the Camden crawl. Cool it is then. Case included.

Despite the obvious modification in the shape of a changed pickup, this EB-0 Gibson is every bit the mean machine, cool and clean, pretty much the vintage dream. Certainly better and infinitely less cheesy than my 'rhymes'. This piece was made in 1967, round about the time of Cream, so you can even imagine yourself walking those lines just like Jack Bruce. Or maybe you hate Cream, but you'll love the bass anyway. Hard case included.
SOLD!!! The bass that needs very little introduction, the classic 'beatle bass', the Hofner Violin 500/1, and here's another example just in at Wunjo. Ok, as you can see, this one isn't a pre-'65 piece in perfect condition. We have a missing scratch plate and the pickups are a later type than those seen on the typical Violin basses. There's also a fair bit of checking in the finish, although it is the original finish. All this said, this is still a 60s Hofner violin bass, and the bill is not as hefty as some of the earlier ones in good condition, so an exiting proposition at a bargain price.
