The Fender Jaguar is an amazing musical instrument, an evolution of an already pretty good idea, a design that like Sean Connery, just looks better the older it gets. So why not make a bass version. Like many of their now classic 60s models, Fender are producing Japanese and Mexican made re-issues in considerable numbers, including this Mustang Bass. Vintage white is the only colour on offer unfortunately, although luckily it does look pretty classy. SOLD!!! LOOK OUT FOR MORE COMING IN!!! An absolute classic, a short scale beauty and not in the least bit girly, the Fender Musicmaster bass will go a long way to helping you become a competant bass player whilst retaining your street cred and not having to crack open all the piggy banks. This 1977 version is in fantastic condition, and harbours an air of mysteriousness with that black-all-over finish and rosewood fretboard. Of course, it's not the sound that everyone is looking for, but it is certainly in possession of a characteristic gritty tone, and is a joy to play and look at. We all want one.
In a wonderful colour endearingly known as Salmon pink (my favourite type of pink), the Mexican made 50s reissue P-Bass is certainly a bit of a looker, along with its copper scratch plate and vintage appointments. The vintage re-issue models are possibly the best range of instruments that is produced in the Mexican factory, everyone of them feeling as good quality as the USA instruments, and certainly looking and sounding very much the part.
