An interesting variation on the Viola bass that you see featured below with the distinctive and un-ortodox headstock design and active pickups. This is a viola bass with not just a difference, but a dissidence. Just like all EKO old/new stock, all the parts are over 40 years old but have been very recently assembled in the Wembley factory.
The Eko company really are turning out some wonderful basses (and guitars) at the moment, and this Hofner style Viola does not disappoint. It has the same look as the Beatle Bass, but such a different feel. Come and have a look and bring a bib in case you start drooling. Price includes a hard case.
Here's another interesting item from EKO. Once again, it's a salvage job made from bits and bobs left over from the glory years... a bit ike the Rolling Stones, and they're still going alright. It has a good thick sound from those pickups, definitely worth a look if you like your retro.
Made from old EKO parts salvaged from the collapse of the company in the 80's, we are privileged to be able to almost exclusively stock Brandoni Custom instruments in all there saved-from-certain-death glory. This hot precision-inspired bass contains some rather fruity hotrail pickups.
Wonders will never cease with Brandoni/EKO. Here we have a classical guitar body with an acoustic bass neck mounted on it and a pickup installed. The result is surprisingly punchy and assured. Also, it has a short scale neck, which may not please everybody, but certainly makes for a really good fun instrument. Great price too!
Along with an exciting range of new 6 stringers, there are also a glittering assortment of retro basses under the EKO to have been recently re-issued. This model and the one below are two such examples. They play well, sound good and are very affordable. Three good reasons to check them out. Come down to Wunjo and have a play, you won't see them many other places!
Another, even MORE affordable retro style bass from the NEW EKO range. All these CAPITALS should by now be getting you REALLY excited. Phone us or email to find out more about these lovely new guitars and basses.
