SOLD!!! It becomes a privilege to work in a shop like ours when you get to see, play and then talk about beautiful little instruments like this Gibson Uke, estimated to have been made around 1927. It is so amazingly clean that you could be forgiven for thinking that it has never been played since the day it was made. The tone is sweet and strong, and its such a pleasure to play, particularly if you play Ukulele regularly, that you will have to see a doctor about removing the grin you'll have on your face when you give it a strum. The Uke is sold complete with a hard case.
SOLD!!! Living proof that you learn something new everyday. Yes indeed, Gibson not only make or have made six string guitars, they also do, or did, a great line in quality ukuleles, and here at Wunjo Guitars we are pleased to have in stock two examples of Gibson's models. This standard sized Uke from 1955 comes complete with a hard case. Now cleaning windows will be a far more enjoyable experience.
SOLD!!! We are very pleased to have this beautiful and rare example of post-Great War British musical memorabilia, a Bournmouth made 'De Vekey' Tenor Ukulele made in the 1920s. You can just about see in our picture of the internal label, just a few of the details of this remarkable instrument. It's beautifully clean and original and you'll have a hard job to find another one. We are selling the instrument with a sturdy, modern hard case.
We wouldn't want you thinking we just go for your run of the mill ordinary fretted instruments here at Wunjo guitars which is why it seems fitting that the next item in the Ukulele section after the nice GIbson vintage pieces is this outrageous Recording Kind Resonator Uke. See also the mandolin section for a further example of Recording Kings left-field cross-over creations.
The Ukulele has made a resounding comeback if our sales figures are anything to go by. They are flying out the door as if they, literally, are going out of fashion. Now you can buy one in electric form as you see here. These are finely crafted instruments and not just mass produced pieces of junk. They feature thru-body-neck design and a high end, but very diddy pickup system. Padded case included.
Just so you could theoretically complete an entire Uke orchestra line up by shopping only at Wunjon Guitars, we have now in stock this lovely Baritone from Mahalo who cater for the affordable end of the Ukulele market. Phone us if you'd like any further details or to buy yours!
We have just received an enormous batch of these cute and charismatic ukuleles. Mahalo make Ukes in the traditional shape (currently on sale for £59 including hard case and tuition DVD), but they also do ones that resemble Telecasters as you see pictured here, as wel as Flying Vs and Les Pauls. We've got the whole range! The Ukulele revolution has begun people, don't miss the ship before it sails!!! Price is £40 with a built in pickup and £30 without.
Due to the ever burgeoning popularity of the humble ukulele we are now stocking a wider range of entry level instruments including these from Mahalo, one of the best know names in Ukulele production at the current time. Pictured are the Les-Uke models, some of which contain a pickup! (£49 is the price with a pickup). Come down and check out the full range of Mahalo ukuleles at Wunjo Guitars.
One final entry into the flourishing Ukulele market, the Marlin 'pinky' (I made that one up) is another affordable uke for those looking to try out the George Formby machine.
Another new addition to our range of entry level affordable ukuleles, the cutesy Makala ukes come in a range of attractive and 'out-there' finishes including more than just the ones you see pictured here. Note also the nice touch with the dolphin shaped bridges. Give us a ring if you would like to know more about these instruments.
