Here's a lovely example of a mid-sixties square shouldered jumbo (or dreadnought). The SJN became the Country Western Model in 1965, essentially a natural version of the Southern Jumbo (SJ), and in 1965, this one rolled off the production line with a bright future of pleasing many a lug-hole ahead of it. It's a really lovely sounding guitar, very nicely balanced, and certainly all the better for having been played over its 47 years on planet earth. Played, yes, but perhaps not always looked after as much as you might if you're going to spend that much on a vintage guitar. As always, we think the little bumps and dinks just add to the character of the instrument, and certainly for an instrument of this kind, it's got bags of character. We don't see an awful lot of these, particularly ones that sound this good, like a dinner bell in heaven, so if you're in the market for a stunning sixties vintage Gibson, this one's definitely worth a look.
