There is a small faction among people who play folk or bluegrass that don't actually always like to play folk or bluegrass. They prefer something a little rarer that goes by the name of Old Timey music, sort of like folk for people who like banjo more than they like food. Whilst it is billed as the banjo suited to clawhammer players and frailers alike, it isn't just the versatility that makes this instrument a great one to buy. It's for banjo players who aren't impressed by flash features, who like something easy to play and who like bits of cow pat stuck to their instrument from time to time. Indeed, the Vega Old Tyme Wonder features something intended to resemble a bit of cow with a Fiberskyn head which looks and sounds like a real piece of animal. The features it does boast include a three-ply maple rim, rock maple neck with ebony fingerboard inlaid with mother of pearl dots, a peghead with the Vega name and star in white, and a nice satin finish. Wunjo Guitars has these in from new. Hard case included.
