All that glitters, in the reso world at least, is usually chrome silver, but in the case of this beautiful National Dueco resonator, it is most certainly gold. This is one of National's newest models, so new that they haven't even got round to putting a description of it on their own website yet. So I guess we'll have to have a go ourselves. Striking right from the off is that finish, and the tough new duco crackle finish on the NRP steel body guitar is certainly an effect that impresses, and recreates the 30s originals to a tee. Needless to say, this 12 fret Duolian style 30s re-issue makes the most sumptuous noise you will have heard in a long time, and you'll want to hug it harder and harder every time you feel a nice rich chord vibrating through your body. Biscuit bridge and fretboard of ebony with some lovely mother-of-pearl inlays, the quality of this guitar is all you'd expect from a high end Obispo creation.
