A beautifully engraved, top condition, early 30s National Resonator doesn't come around very often, not in London, not really in the UK, but, well you know what's coming... we've got one, and it's a stunning example. This is the Style-2, a square neck tri-cone resonator engraved with a fairly airy flower design with straight lines round the binding to complement the various species of plant life that you see on the front, back, back of the neck and, quite unusually, also on the hand rest. Pumping out the sort of legendary tone that you'll only ever hear on a National tri-cone of this age, it's an effortless exercise in sounding absolutely out of this world, so it's a good job you'll be sat down for the most part, it'll blow you away. Featuring all the original bits and bobs including, crucially, the three cones, this is a rare and wonderful piece of National history, and of course a quite brilliant musical instrument.
