Supro 1605R Reverb

£949.00 Available from supplier. Delivery 3 to 5 days

Also known as the 1605R, the Supro Reverb is a raucous scamp of an amp, covered in Blue Rhino Tolex. Another example of Supro’s desire to make sure everyone knows how immense their amps are, they could have settled for being the go-to’s for Paul Simon, Joe Walsh and Robby Krieger, but not being ones to rest on their laurels, they’ve pushed on with gems like this. Tube-driven reverb being the lush sound that it is, it’s no surprise that Supro wanted to offer such a facility to you, the gifted, attractive player, and so here it is! Designed for both micing at gigs and for home recording, the 1605R is furnished with a 2-band EQ, a master Volume and a knob governing the Reverb, but some clever antics with the setup of the PCB means that this amp has a WET output for 100% of the reverb signal, and a separate out for the DRY signal. This is blendable, so you can get exactly what you need regardless of the circumstance. The great thing about this setup is that the line outs are fed by the preamp tube, meaning that you can tame the speaker as you wish, and make the most of this amp in a low-volume setting. Running two JJ 12AX7’s in the preamp and a single JJ 6V6 in the poweramp stage, the Reverb runs off a JJ 12AT7, making this a seriously deep listen. Not to be outdone, the speaker, which is a Supro SS8, was developed by Supro in conjunction with Eminence, and built partly around a laser-scan by Iowa State University of an original vintage Jensen. Those are some premium lengths to go to, and it shows in the tone of this smashing wee gem of an amp. Protected by a years’ warranty with our tube-driven techs, the Supro Reverb is available at Wunjos now. Please email via the form below for more information and availability.
