The banjo. A fantastically adaptable instrument that continues to find its way into many genres, even those with a basic awareness of everyone's favourite ponking tool will know Deering. One of, if not the biggest names in banjo-ing, Deering is still a family firm, and possessed of a wealth of banjo-building lineage. This Eagle II, as played by Winston Marshall, son of Mumford, is specced right up, with a naural Ebony fingerboard topping a dark-red-mahogany stained Maple neck, replete with engraved inlays, 22 nickel-silver frets and Deering's own Planetary banjo tuners. The pot has a Twenty-Ten tone ring, 11" three-ply violin-grade Maple rim, 11" frosted top medium Crown head, slender arm rest and a 5/8" Maple/Ebony top bridge. The Maple resonator is stained red Mahogany, this mid-strong, super-versatile monster is ideal for Clawhammer and Bluegrass styles, and comes with a lifetime warranty with Deering themselves, so you can roll away to your hearts content, safe in confidence that Deering has in their every product. This Deering Eagle II is available at Wunjos with a 3 year shop warranty and hard case as standard. Please call for availability.
