Takamine GY93E-NAT

£549.00 In Stock with Supplier - Please Enquire

The parlour guitar has made a big come back in recent years. I would love to say that it is all thanks to Wunjo Guitars, but I don't want to provoke any complaints. We have always jumped at the chance to get the little things up on our hooks, and we've had quite a few examples from well over 100 years ago. The parlour was essentially a ladies guitar. Stringed instruments tended to be pretty hefty unless you played the Violin, but the parlour sized guitar meant that even the daintiest of ladies and the shortest armed of gentlemen could now have a go at the instrument enjoying burgeoning popularity in the early part of the 20th century. Now there's plenty of makers bringing out parlous models, and here's one from Takamine. The GY93E is the electro version of the GY93, but in keeping with the 'classic' nature of the instrument, they have refrained from adding a cutaway. From the top end of the G series, the G90 series, the guitar features a solid spruce top, solid rosewood sides and a three piece back of solid rosewood and quilted maple. Along with a TK-40D onboard pickup, the guitars other features include "a maple body, neck and headstock binding; dark wood rosette and body purfling; synthetic bone nut and split bridge saddle; rosewood headcap; abalone dot inlays; and a beautiful gloss finish". Available new at Wunjos.
