Aristone Lapsteel (1960s)

£499.00 In Stock. Next Day Delivery order before 3pm
Now this really isn’t something you see every day - a vintage 1960’s Aristone Lap Steel! If you don’t think this is amazing you are punishingly wrong, as the pearloid headstock, multi-coloured inlays and that amazing body are all pretty firm indicators that you’re witnessing a winner. Details on this instrument aren’t exactly plentiful, but here’s what we do know. Made in Germany, various reports indicate that this rocket-like marvel was made by Framus in the 1960’s, and with that company’s penchant for spreading pearloid around their headstocks at this time, that seems completely reasonable. The double-bound body is a slick old thing, almost as cool as the HUGE plate that covers the single pickup. Controlled by a master Volume knob, this incredible thing still has its original case, which in itself is fabulous. At this time in their history, Framus were very hands-on with their builds, and it does look like a huge amount of care went into this instrument. It’s come to us in great condition as well, and the chances of us getting another one are pretty slim, so get down and check it out sharpish! Protected by a three-year warranty with our elusive techs, this vintage 1960’s Aristone Lap Steel is available at Wunjos with its original hard case.
