No, you're not hallucinating; this is indeed a 1995 Gibson Les Paul 5-String Bass. Although its grandaddy existed in 1969, this version of the world's most popular set neck electric came into being in the '90s, and a couple of iterations of it have existed in the last few years. None were quite as well specced as this, or as devastating, for the Les Paul 5 sports a pair of Bartolini humbuckers and, consequently, an immense amount of power. Strung with a meaty low B, this stripey king has everything you would need to restart a dying world; a Mahogany body with a Flame Maple cap, dual independent volume and tone controls, a Mahogany neck and an Ebony fingerboard, replete with trapezoid inlays. The headstock is a subtle, understated affair, which hasn't made too many appearances in the Gibson canon, and is a pretty spiffy shape if we do say so. This is a major thunder-thrower, and operates without a toggle switch, so you can really get into those pickups and explore them. The seriously meaty bridge transfers powerfully to the body, which is no larger than a normal Les Paul, so if you're looking for a totally manageable but also rather powerful instrument for your low end activity, you'd be hard pushed to top this! Rare in its flamed, 5-string form, this is unlikely to hang about, so come down and give it a blast! Protected by a three year warranty with our neatly flamed techs, this 1995 Gibson Les Paul 5-String Bass is available at Wunjos with its original hard case as standard.
