Oahu is a name not that many people will know unless they bought sheet music in the 1930s in the USA. They were a publisher, and as such the musical instruments they made, usually in the Kay or Oscar Schmidt factories, were just a little sideline for the main publishing business. This is why you'll see Oahu Publishing Company stamped inside the body of this Sqare-neck flat-top. Still, for a sideline, they made some pretty fine guitars, and they obviously did the right thing by employing the two aforementioned factories to build there wares. This model, a squareneck from the 1930s is a cute instrument, and on your lap with a tone bar will make some very pleasing noises if you know what you're doing. This guitar has been used over the years and has a number of issues, and this is reflected in the price. However as a relic to the past, it certainly is a charming and rare piece. It is complete with a gig bag.
