Utterly symbiotic with the Strat, this 1997 Fender American Eric Clapton Stratocaster is one of only two iterations of a signature electric for the man who changed the electric blues forever. The second signature model ever made by Fender, the Clapton is a righteous example of the Strat and no mistake. Built around an Alder body with a Maple neck, this particular model has seen active service to be sure, but as with most Strats, it's tougher than the road it's been travelling on. Though this would have been Olympic white to begin with, it's aged to a beautiful old cream, and those pickups look as purposeful and defiant as ever. Fitted with a trio of Gold Lace Sensors, the Clapton has a set of old-school saddles in the bridge, and is controlled by a traditional Volume/Tone/Tone setup, mounted to a single-ply white plate. Those of us who remember these guitars from the '90s recall how powerful and composed they were, so if you're looking for a roadworthy old soldier with plenty of stories to tell, this is it! Protected by a three year warranty with our slow-handed techs, this 1997 American Fender Eric Clapton Stratocaster is available at Wunjos with a hard case as standard.
