Whatever you're playing now, put it down and look at this. Yes, it's a *second* Gretsch Super Axe, this time from 1976! One of the funnest and most remarkable guitars we've had through the doors here, the Super Axe was built in Arkansas, the product of a design collaboration between Gretsch's Duke Kramer (awesome name) and hope-crushing country godkin Chet Atkins. Always chasing the next improvement in tone, Atkins clearly decided this guitar needed *everything*, so what we have here is a hollowbody-wide, tapered-edge solid mahogany-bodied singlecut with a fantastically slim mahogany neck, but really what you want to know about is the effects. Although the Super Axe has a conventional three way toggle for the pickups and is controlled by a master volume and tone, it also has built a built in phaser (with knobs for rate and blend!) and compressor, which is controlled by the sustain knob. Blending the phase is super cool, and if you don't think so you are very wrong. These rare guitars rarely have modifications because they're so unique already, and indeed this woody gent is the same as the day it left the factory, so come down and marvel at this incredible thing! Built in the first year of production, this Gretsch Super Axe is available at Wunjos with a 2 year warranty and hard case as standard. Please call for availability.
