Featuring a robust body made of solid mahogany, this guitar showcases a unique construction with a 3-piece maple top adorned with multi-bound detailing on the top and back. The neck is crafted from a 3-piece mahogany with a small volute and cream binding. Its ebony fingerboard boasts exquisite mother of pearl block inlays, while the headstock is adorned with multi-bound detailing, mother of pearl split diamond inlays, and the iconic Gibson logo.
This particular instrument exhibits the original fretless wonder frets, which bear signs of play wear consistent with its age. The guitar showcases honest wear throughout its finish, hardware, and binding
The tuners remain the original Kluson Wafflebacks, and the bridge features a wired, Pat.no gold ABR-1 with metal saddles. The electronics are correct, with an untouched loom and unbroken solder joints. The guitar is equipped with Pat.No T Top Humbuckers, both of which retain their original stickers.
While '70s Les Paul Customs are often known for their weightiness, this particular model tips the scales at a respectable 4.54 kilograms, and surprisingly, it carries its weight with ease, feeling less heavy than the numbers suggest. The slender early '70s neck profile offers a comfortable playing experience that gradually fattens up as you ascend the neck
This guitar is in all original condition except for a screw from the bridge pickup which has been threaded but is included in the case. It comes with the original hard case and as with all of our guitars it comes with three years of free setups and servicing.
