A genre defining instrument that continues to be a crowd favourite to this day. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThe SG Special bridged the gap between the Standard and Junior models, loaded with twin P-90 single coil pickups with independent volume\/tone controls, a bound fretboard and available at the time with either a compensated wrap-around bridge or Maestro Vibrola, it offered style, versatility and affordability to an eagerly awaiting market and this particular '65 hard tail model is a fantastic example as to why. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eIt's come to us in wonderful condition, wearing it's years with pride and the majority of its originality intact. It's had some work done to keep it playing; a refret, changed tuners and a replacement bridge pickup cover but there's no evidence of any breaks or major repairs, just patina, play wear and charm! \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eBoth pickups sound fantastic, delivering that classic bite and articulation with a mid-focused depth to them and they really come alive when you introduce a bit of gain into your signal chain.
