S/H 1979 Guild D-25M Double Pickguard

This guitar is a bit of a secret agent! 

Whilst appearing to be a fully mahogany body, that is commonly associated with the D-25, in 1976 Guild actually defaulted to using Spruce on the top and staining it into a rich Mahogany colour. Giving it all the clarity and brightness of Spruce, balanced by the laminate Mahogany back and sides but with the cohesive aesthetics of Mahogany.
