S/H 1962 Gibson ES-330TDC, Cherry

Wow! 

Debuting in 1959 alongside the ES-335 but marketed as the more affordable counterpart, the ES-330 had to work hard to step out of its fraternal twins shadow and cultivate a reputation all of its own.

With the combination of it's hollow-body construction creating a rich and woody resonance paired with it's dual single coil P-90 pickups, dilvering articulation and bite from the bridge and a dulcet warmth from the neck, it's no wonder this guitar found favour in the hands of artists spanning a multitude of genres; from Grant Green to Elliott Smith and beyond!

1962 was a transitional year for the ES-330, and this particularly example straddles the divide between two eras, we can see that it's steppin into the future with its block inlays but it still retains the black plastics and pickup covers of the eralier iterations. 

The neck profile is a very comfortable 'D', slim taper neck profile with the wider and more desirable 1 11/16" nut width. It has seen a professional refret in its time and there are signs on the top and by the strap button that at some point it has had a Bigsby fitted with a floating bridge. Whilst there are no invasive holes in its top, there is some wear from where the bridge was seated. 

There's signs of play wear from it's 60 plus years but it really is in wonderful condition, light as a feather and the pickups sound beautiful.
