Picture this: it’s 1967 & you‘re London’s top bass session player. You’ve got a recording session in the afternoon with Tom Jones and then another in the evening with Shirley Bassey, what bass do you use? This Jazz bass of course!
This is a very early example of a Jazz bass after Baldwin purchased the company. So early in fact, that the pickups still say Burns on them (very common around 1965-66).
The bass is strung with Rotosound nylon tapewounds and has an incredible range of tones - from deep, warm double bass thump to the snarling ‘wild dog’ setting. It is awesome and so quintessentially 1960s, there’s no doubt you’ll have London swinging again!
All original, apart from the tuning pegs themselves (which had fallen to pieces and have now been replaced by a sturdy replacement set).
Comes with non-original hard case and a 2-year service and set-up warranty. Will be safely and thoroughly packaged.
