S/H 1966 Gibson ES-120T Thinline Hollow-Body Electric Guitar, Sunburst

The Gibson ES-120T was introduced in 1961 as a stripped back and affordable alternative to Gibson's higher end electric archtops and the hollow-body equivalent to the Melody Maker.

In the popularity boom of the electric guitar, it became important to have instruments that were quick to build and easy to sell whilst retaining the promise of quality and style that Gibson ensured.

Its thinline hollow body is comprised of a laminated Maple top and back with Mahogany sides, which in this instance has provided the guitar with a surprising amount of acoustic volume and resonance which supports the delicate tonal character of the single coil pickup in the neck position with a wonderful balance. Finished in a Sunburst that has held up remarkably well for its years and the unmistakable raised black plastic scratchplate that houses it's vol/tone control and input jack, which shows no signs of cracking and minimal signs of play wear!

It's a wonderful guitar in very good condition, you can tell it's been looked after very well by it's previous owner and as always, it comes complete with our two year set up and servicing warranty included in the price.
