S/H 1970 Ovation USA Eclipse 1235 Hollow-Body Electric Guitar, Black

Melding a passion for music and aerospace engineering, Charles Kaman developed and introduced new material never before used in guitar manufacture - Lyrachord! A strain of fibreglass that was strong enough to hold shape without bracing, whilst being thin enough to optimise vibration and even enough to create a balanced resonance. It became the hallmark of Ovation guitars and one of the most staggering developments in guitar design in some 400 years! 

Whilst Ovation are famed for their bowl-back acoustic guitars, they have historically dipped their toes into electric guitar manufacture, offering us this beautiful 1970 Ovation Eclipse from their 'Storm' series of the late 60's. Comprised of a Lyrachord, semi-hollow body with imported German (likely Hofner/Schaller) 'Blade' humbucking pickups, Trapeze tailpiece and the signature Ovation headstock. This guitar was designed to traverse time and space, and it's done a good job of it so far! 

In lovely condition, with barely a mark on it for its age. It comes with our customary two year set up and servicing warranty included in the price.
