This mid-70s hard tail Stratocaster is a perfect example of how even throughout Fender's more questionable eras of production, they could still knock out a phenomenal guitar.
Whilst under CBS ownership, some design decisions proved to be polarising at the time have since become iconic in their own right. The large headstock, bullet truss rod and three bolt neck plate used to be indicators of poor quality control but this particular instrument proves contrary to that once popular belief.
The hard tail bridge provides more points of resonance contact from the strings which gives it brilliant sustain and tuning stability, the neck profile is slim and comfortable and the high contoured body is light weight and a joy to play. The three single coil pickups behave are you'd expect, crystal clear and articulate with a wide variety of tones from the later upgraded five way selector switch.
It's had two pots and knobs replaced and shows signs of honest wear from its 50 years on the circuit but has been set up brilliantly and is ready to put another shift in.
It comes with a 90s fitted hard case and our two year set up and servicing warranty included in the price.
