S/H 1979 Marshall Mercury 5 Watt Combo Amplifier, Orange

This is a really cool piece of Marshall's history. 

This small 5 watt, mail order only combo was only made for a short period in the 70s at Marshalls Bletchley factory. And in an unusual manner, it houses a solid state preamp that's powered by one, lone EL84 valve! Very cool. 

Sonically it's designed to super bright to fill out that higher frequency range in a mix and when the volume is pushed it gets into a wicked overdrive state. 

Not something you see every day and we're sure it won't be sticking around for long!
