S/H 1980s Ovation UK II Solid Body Electric Guitar, Nutmeg

Ovation have procured a reputation for innovation at every opportunity. A company founded by aerospace engineers with a passion for music and the physics of sound led to a host on unusual and brilliant instruments that never fail to impress.

The UK II (Ultra Kaman II) has a lot more going on under the hood that it lets on, an aliminium frame and foam urelite body (masquerading as wood!) gives the UK II a lightweight feel and open resonance, even acoustically, but with heaps of sustain from its metal chassis. With the Mahogany neck bolted to the frame and glued into the body, shaped in a comfortable slim taper neck profile with a gorgeous piece of ebony for the fretboard and MOP 'bowtie' inlays.

And we haven't even got to the pickups yet! A pair of Humbuckers wound over 10,000 times means these guitars come in hot but to account for a variety of tastes and genres, Ovation also incorporated an independent series/parallel switch on each Humbucker to tame the output and offer a diverse palate of tones. Topped off with a stereo output that can send each pickup to a separate amp if desired, this Ovation is a real box of tricks!

Its in great condition for its age and comes complete with our two year set up and servicing warranty included in the price.
