It's no secret that Fender was in a bit of trouble during the 70s, with the CBS buy out and a sudden dip in quality control and consistency, the company had fallen out of public favour until Fender's Dan Smith arrived on the scene. 

Dan Smith entered the fold with the attitude to return Fender back to the ground breaking innovations of the 50s and 60s that had solidified their global revere, whilst catering to their modern clientele. And it worked! 

The smaller headstock, the four bolt neck plate but with a modern American bridge and hotter X-1 bridge pickup. 

The neck feels fantastic and it sounds just as good as it feels! 

It comes fully warranted for set ups and servicing for three years, all included in the price.
