S/H 2025 Atkin LG-47 Parlor Acoustic Guitar, Slade Grey

The Forty Seven! 

Leaning into the elements that make those early post-war guitars so desirable today, Atkin have once again knocked it out of the park with this modern take on an absolute vintage classic. 

Based on a 1947 Gibson LG-2 (and adopting the banner logo to boot) Atkin have created a small bodied power house that has nuance and articulation when approached with finger style but can really fill a room with open chord strumming. In part to the signature baked Spruce soundboard they employ, this process of torrification reduces the water density of the wood, creating more room for the air to move and reverberate through the grain. The impact of which generates more low mid-range resonance and a sense of openness to its tonality, that and it's light weight scalloped 'X' bracing and Mahogany back and sides culminate in a truly powerful sound that far out matches its size. 

Finished in a gorgeous, and rarely seen Slade Grey with light aging to the Nitro finish applied from factory, it looks every bit as good as it sounds and then some!
