S/H 1959-60 Airline Town & Country Electric Guitar, Natural

Very cool! 

This wonderful piece of history and innovation just arrived in fantastic condition for its age. An unusual guitar, from an unusual brand thats history is rife with a pioneering and a consistent, inventinve attitude.

The National > National-Dobro > Valco pipeline is a lineage that never stopped pushing the envelope, the first Resonator guitars to the first Reso-glass guitars that gave Airline its distinctive reputation and sound. Which is what makes this Town & Country so interesting is that it's the line that bridged the gap between those two feats.

A solid wood body with 'Tone Chambering' to reduce the weight but increase its natural resonance and enhance the mid-range frequency repsonse of its three single coil pickups (yep! they look like Humbuckers!). With an independent vol/tone control for each, lining the bass side of the instrument, and an expressive Bigsby vibrato to add a beautiful texture to your playing. 

Its a gorgeous instrument an a really cool piece of history. It comes fully warranted for two years for all set ups and servicing included in the price.
