The DOD Overdrive Preamp 250 – 50th Anniversary Edition pedal celebrates the introduction of the original 250 pedal back in 1974. Widely considered to be one of the most influential overdrive pedals, the original ODPRE250 partially shaped the sound of rock and metal in the late ‘70s and early ‘80s. An homage made to last, the 50th Anniversary 250 is hand-built in the USA and stays true to the design of the original, but with two extra modes for modern versatility.
This pedal is in excellent condition with next to no cosmetic damage or signs of wear. Sold with the original box.

'Silicon' mode gives out an accurate reproduction of the original 250’s vintage bite courtesy of an authentic socketed LM741 op-amp. Move to 'Ge/ASYM' to engage the Germanium diode in the pedal for asymmetrical even-order clipping that provides a distinct tonal character and an incredible touch response. Choose 'Lift' mode to remove diode clipping entirely from the signal path giving you a classic a clean boost and preamp. Staying true to the original 250's reputation, the 50th Anniversary Edition pedal's through-hole components allows you to easily mod the pedal just as the originals were known for.
Complete with a commemorative 50th Anniversary badge, custom artwork, a color-matched LED and a 50th Anniversary pedal topper, the 50th Anniversary Edition ODPRE250 is ideal for both players and collectors.
