S/H Hagstrom Super Swede Electric Bass, Natural Mahogany Gloss

The Super-Swede is back! Originally made in collaboration with Rutger Gunnarsson (bass player for ABBA) in the late '70s, the Super-Swede had a short-lived but legendary existence, and now Hagstrom have brought them back to roam the earth.

This 2019 model has been well-looked after and combines the best elements of some iconic bass designs. The mahogany body is slim (and only weighs 3.21kg/7.07lbs and very-light and the nut width sits in-between a Jazz and Precision at 40mm.

The neck is also mahogany and the fretboard features Hagstrom's top secret (yet hardwaring) Resinator compound which increases sustain and articulation. Mono-rail bridge and stacked quad humbuckers bring clarity and a wide range of tone. Perhaps the coup de grâce is that it's a neck-through construction, which looks fantastic and gives the feeling of a bass which is worth a lot more dollar.
