Talk about a bag of tricks!
This first year Les Paul Recording is perhaps one of the most experimental guitars in Gibson's production history, and the favoured guitar of Les Paul himself(!) with many of the tonal switching options based off of modifications he had done to his own guitar and hosting his preferred low impedance stacked Humbuckers.
The Recording was the successor of the Les Paul Personal and Professional, the ultimate studio guitar designed for tonal manoeuvrability and comfort, without the flash and dazzle. Its contoured back and carved Mahogany top house a myriad of switching options: phase reverse switch, a tone switch to bypass the EQ stage, a 'Decade' rotary switch which offers 11 options to change the treble resonance peak through a system of resistors and capacitors and all of that on top of the standard pickup selection and volume/tone control.
Whilst the Recording did come with Schaller M6 machine heads, it seems that this particular guitar swapped them in from the alternative Grovers at some point after it was purchased.
Its in lovely condition for its age and all the electronics are working as they should!
It comes fully warranted for three years for set ups and servicing included in the price, feel free to get in touch for any further information via the contact form below.
